Each full-length practice test has 60 questions, the number of scored questions on the NNAAP written examination, split by the official 2024 content outline weights (about 38 physical care, 6 psychosocial and 16 role-of-the-nurse-aide questions), with the official 2-hour timer. The real test adds 10 unscored pretest questions (70 in all) in the same 2 hours. Our questions are original single-answer multiple-choice items; they cannot reproduce the real test forms, the oral version, the skills evaluation or your state's own passing standard, and states that do not use the NNAAP have different formats.

Sample question from practice test 1

Before starting a bed bath, what should the aide do with the water in the basin?

  1. Make it as hot as the tap allows so it stays warm
  2. Add rubbing alcohol to disinfect it
  3. Use it without checking, because the client will say if it is too hot
  4. Check the temperature and ask the client whether it feels comfortable

Answer D. The aide checks the water temperature for safety and comfort and asks the client to verify that it is comfortable. Older skin burns easily, and some clients cannot feel or report heat well.

While washing a client's arm and underarm, how does the aide protect the client's privacy and warmth?

  1. Removes all bed linens so the skin can air-dry
  2. Opens the window to keep the room fresh
  3. Keeps the rest of the body covered and exposes only the arm being washed
  4. Leaves the gown on and washes under it

Answer C. Only the part being washed is exposed, with a towel under the arm and the rest of the body kept covered. This protects dignity and prevents chilling.
