Questions before you buy
Is this information free somewhere else?
Yes, much of it. Every state publishes its handbook, and some publish their test criteria (California's DL 955 and DL 32, Texas DL-60) and free practice logs. Free logging apps also exist. What you pay for here is the work of collecting the rules of 13 states in one place, checked against the official pages in October 2026, and turning them into a practice plan, checklists and fill-in forms you can print.
Will this book make my teen pass?
No book can promise that. The examiner scores how you drive on the day. This book shows what is scored, gives a plan to practice those skills, and lets the parent run a mock test so weak points show up before the real one.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is a one-off payment for a PDF you keep.
My state is not in the list. Is it still useful?
The skills checklist, the 10 practice sessions, the mock test and the log work in any state. The tables with numbers (hours, ages, restrictions) cover 13 states only. Always check your own state's handbook for the numbers.
Can I use the driving log in this book instead of my state's official form?
Use it to record your practice, then copy the totals onto your state's official form if your state has one (for example New York MV-262, Pennsylvania DL-180C, Ohio BMV 5791, Florida's Certification of Minor Driving Experience). The state form is the one the examiner or office accepts.
Is passmock connected to the DMV?
No. passmock is an independent study publisher and is not affiliated with any state DMV, DPS, MVC, DDS, BMV, Secretary of State or other licensing agency.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, the PDF opens on any phone, but the log sheets, tracker and score sheet are made to be printed.
